Chickenpox lasts for about 4 to 7 days. First, it causes a rash on the chest, back, and face, and then spread over the entire body, after that it causes a rash on the eyelids, genital area, and inside of the mouth. The rashes take a week to become scabs.

  • A child gets infected, the antibodies fight the virus and help the child to recover and get well, and fortunately, these fighters exist in his body, if an adult gets to interact with the virus, the antibodies are there to fight the virus. 
  • If any pregnant woman has chickenpox, her baby can have chickenpox before birth. 
  • Mothers who have chickenpox can also give it to their newborn babies.

  • the first dose at the age of 1 year and the second dose at the age of 2 year
  • children above 12 years got vaccination one and second dose with the gap of 30 days.
  • If the woman is pregnant not recommended to get vaccinated during that period.

  • The vaccination is completely safe and effective at any age.  It prevents all cases of severe illness, if a vaccinated person gets chickenpox, they would get a mild fever or just a little redness on the skin.
