I am busy 

 You always say to your child I am busy. You read newspapers or watch the news and you are just not available for your child it is a big mistake that impacts our child in a very bad way. Your child sees you are not available for her then they find some other way or person to share their problems. Always listen to your child, maybe you feel the questions are not important, or maybe you feel their problem is not big, but it’s only your feelings. Their problems and questions are big in their lives. 

Not do creative things with your child 

   If you are not doing anything with your child, it’s another mistake you have made. Not playing games and not helping with their projects or any other thing they do, you are just absent. Then your relationship with your child is not supportive and not healthy. Do things with your children then you better know their way of thinking and their ability. 

Higher expectations and pressure 

Expectations are natural but high expectations are not good without any supportive things. For example, you know your child is average in the study, but your expectations are first position in class and just pressure on the child why are you not doing things according to me? No, they are only children, they perform according to their age and ability. Just understand the things how you support your child and how you increase their abilities. 

Compare with others 

      I think it is the biggest problem that I also faced in my childhood. Parents just compare their children with other children or their siblings without knowing the feelings of their children. It is very disappointing for your child, maybe they are doing better but your assessment is wrong, and the result is your child’s performance is zero because they are not good, and they don’t make you happy. 

Hurt their self-respect in front of others 

You say whatever you want in front of others, and you highlight their mistakes only not the good things, this is the worst for your children. After seeing or facing this they never feel secure from you even if you lose your respect. In this way, you attack the self-respect of your child, and you don’t know how you hurt your child. They are losing confidence even in some cases children are avoiding family gatherings and socializing.
